Yep almost that time. Opening day proper (ignoring last week's "soft launch" games in Seoul between the Padres and the Dodgers) is tomorrow!

All 30 teams were scheduled to play tomorrow but the March-like-a-lion weather is still in charge on part of the the East Coast. Games in Philly and NYC will go Friday.

Meanwhile if you have T-mobile don't forget to redeem your free MLB app perk before 5am on April 2nd.

Oh nice! I didn’t know if they were going to do it this year. I can’t watch Orioles or Nationals on it since they’re local, but there are so many other games to watch. Anytime I want baseball, there’s a game on there...

Yep, I love it. I often watch games from the archive anyway so not sure I'd really care these days if "my team" played in a blackout zone.

However, I'm lucky in long ago having picked the then Cleveland Indians as "my team." I was just a kid then, one who admired some AAA player from the Rochester Red Wings (then part of the Cardinals' farm system. He did well, went up to the show and then eventually landed in Cleveland. I'm still living far enough east so the local blackouts of Guardians games don't affect me.

Hope the whole Central Division plays better ball this year... sigh. They are what they are. "Somebody's favorite, somehow."

I meant to remind folk here yesterday. Can't wait to see my Yanks in action. Especially opening up at Houston.

Won in a squeaker! I'll take it though

Cleveland doesn't play Oakland until 10pm ET, so that will be archive city for me, my day started too early this morning for me to be watching a whole ballgame unfurl at that hour. Maybe I'll watch your Yanks for awhile from the archives right now!

Welp I switched over to watch the start of the Cleveland game live... and it got interesting enough so I'm still there watching muh Guardians show Oakland how it works in the 4th inning. Of course they could blow even this kind of lead but I'll have to discover how it all ended when I get up tomorrow.

I watched that one last night, turned it off for bed in the 8th. Thanks again for reminding me to check T-mobile!

Yankees - Astros is the opener for Apple TV’s Friday Night baseball. Just started, I’m watching now… 🍿

Yankees are so lucky to have Juan Soto. I was at the wildcard game in 2019 when the Nationals were down 3-1… then he cleared the bases with a perfectly-timed base hit to give the Nats a 4-3 lead which they never relinquished. It was sad to see him go, but he’s got to be very happy to be a part of the current loaded NY Yankees lineup.

I have all my bases covered: MLBTV, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, YES, and Peacock (hoping they won't repeat stoppid early games this season).

And I don't think I mentioned last week(?) T-Mobile offered Apple TV six months free. I'll be on the lookout if it's offered again. We were able to add it to our subscription even though we've already used free offers 2 or 3 times in the past year or so.

Decided to watch a random game - Mariners at the Rockies… It is literally snowing as they play. No accumulation at least… 😂❄️🌨️

Update: Just watched a guy lose a pop-up when looking up into the snow… 😂

Hilarious! Even here we're not out of the woods for sure on late snowfall. Our forecast for next Wednesday keeps flipping back and forth from snow to rain depending how how long it takes for an otherwise three-day cold front to move on out before the precipitation event. We've only had two occasions where driveways had to be plowed all season but we're still not clear of frosty nights and risk of snow?! Gimme Spring!

I hate West Coast trips. I usually fall asleep by the 7th. But loving tonight's game with my three favorite Yanks all getting homers: Soto, Judge right after and then finally Stanton after a Verduogo base hit. Yanks up 6-0 after three innings against Vu Darvish.

Wow! Gleyber Torres just hit the fourth Yankee homer. They're up 7-0 at the start of the 4th 👊

The Yanks are doing great this season... muh Guardians hot on their heels in the AL at the moment.

Over the other side of the league fences, those Phillies look like ready to try to teach everyone the game.
