Heartbreaker for Detroit last night, the Tigers having clawed their way back to forcing a game 5, but losing it in the 15th godblasted inning. By then I was bleary-eyed for sure like anyone else still on board, but couldn't stop watching as time ground them all down and both teams left some potential runs on base.
In those extra-inning situations (the same as with any regular season game really), with everyone stretching to meet the extended moments or hours of uncertainty, someone finally has to get lucky or else make a mistake there's no coming back from. Some good ball got played meanwhile. I was grateful it didn't run on any longer!
