Politicians behaving badly

Gee, what was different last year that didn't have people as worked up as they are now? 🤔

I've said this woman was untrustworthy trash for years, and she never fails to disappoint

The story you linked seems to have been taken down, so I searched for Nancy Mace. She has not one, but two recent outbursts. One where a guy in a store asked her when her next Town Hall will be, she ended up dropping F-bombs on him. The other one was her yelling slurs for transgender people.

It takes a special kind of 💩-iness to have two such incidents in one day.

The store one is the link, where the encounter was recorded.

This guy must be feeling pretty omnipotent.

A woman who said she had been in a relationship with Rep. Cory Mills has accused the Republican member of Congress from Florida of threatening to release nude videos of her after she broke off their relationship, according to a police report.
Lindsey Langston, a Florida Republican state committee member and 2024 winner of the Miss United States beauty pageant, told authorities on July 14 that Mills also threatened to harm any of her future romantic partners, according to a report she made to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department that was obtained Tuesday by POLITICO.

Where are these FBI agents when you need them?

The meme coin branch of crypto bros and their fans, wow. Talk about worship of the Golden Calf.

"Don Colossus,’ a Golden Statue of President Trump, Waits for Its Home (gift link NYT)

They should park this thing in front of Mar a Lago dining room and wait for reaction from any one of the many One True God who forbade making and worship of graven images of an idol. Hope all the dinner guests on that night like their steak well done.

Seriously, a two-story-tall gold leaf coated statue of Trump? Among other things I'd think it would be a magnet for vandalism, if not terrorism more compelling than the original World Trade Center.

From crypto boys, I would have expected a non-fungible token of their appreciation

Yeah. The "grownup" crypto outfits don't seem to care much for stunts like this meme-bro combo of Trump adulation and a meme-coin offering (with a side hustle of small "Don Colossus" replicas) aimed at MAGA. Anyway the coin side has practically tanked already. All that's left is the gilded Big Donnie and the little Big Donnies at souvenir tables of MAGA events.

The crypto currency enterprises trying to horn in on actual banking may or may not be into grifting but for now they probably stick to greasing palms in the more traditional way of interest groups trying to angle for favorable regulatory treatment, i.e, just donate millions, and plain ol' fungible greenbacks are fine. They're not hiding [all of?] their angling now for legislative favors; later on comes helping customers use crypto for whatever they might want to buy more discreetly.
