Racism in the USA

This is some shit. Guy is falsely accused, proven innocent, but the police are disappointed they can't get him on something else.

Instead the police supported the person & company that made the false accusations, and absolutely no thought is given towards an apology or making any kind amends.

I looked up the company’s Facebook page, which has a bunch of comments about this… no apology there, they just tried to block future comments on their page. Classy.

The only "good" out of this for the falsely accused Black man is that his $10K GFM campaign has reached $38K. But at what cost to him? He has a hard road ahead if he decides to sue because I'm sure the racists (the company and police dept) will come out with guns blazing.

A racist dad storms the stage at his daughter’s graduation. Why? To keep her from shaking hands with the black school superintendent… who he physically attacks to ensure this.

And if the name Baraboo sounds familiar to you, maybe it’s because of this story from a few years ago…

They did it; they found somebody to replace Tucker Carlson.

Just as much of a 💩-head.

I’m kind of catching up with this topic but…this is utterly ridiculous.

Aside from the fact that the Republican party of today certainly did not free the slaves…this slick white man, on a panel of white people, is telling blacks what to do? To move down south to better themselves? ****ing seriously?

To do what, exactly? Enjoy the dubious benefits of poorer education and medical care? To get their heads busted open even more by racist cops and MAGA zombies?

Three Black men have filed a lawsuit against American Airlines alleging they were victims of “blatant and egregious racial discrimination” after being removed from a flight.

In a lawsuit filed in federal court Wednesday, the three plaintiffs — Alvin Jackson, Emmanuel Jean Joseph and Xavier Veal — say that they and five other Black male passengers were removed from an American Airlines flight from Phoenix to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in January “without any valid reason, based solely on their race.”

The eight men did not know each other and were not seated together on the flight.

According to the lawsuit, an American Airlines representative approached each of the eight men and told them to leave the plane and return to the gate in order to be rebooked.

“In fact, once they reached the jet bridge, they saw that several other Black men were also being removed from the plane. In fact, it appeared to Plaintiffs that American had ordered all of the Black male passengers on Flight 832 off the plane,” the lawsuit says.
Once all eight men were off the plane, they eventually discovered the reason behind their removal — an employee told the men someone on the plane complained about body odor. Jackson, Joseph and Veal say they were not told they had body odor, according to the lawsuit.

When the three men pointed out that they were being treated unfairly due to their race, an American Airlines staff member said she “did not disagree,” the lawsuit says.

All eight men were eventually allowed back on the plane nearly an hour after the airline determined there were no available flights going to JFK airport that evening.

“Plaintiffs then had to reboard the plane and endure the stares of the largely white passengers who viewed them as the cause of the substantial delay. They suffered during the entire flight home, and the entire incident was traumatic, upsetting, scary, humiliating, and degrading,” the lawsuit reads.

In a statement to NPR, American Airlines said it takes all claims of discrimination "very seriously" and wants customers to have a "positive experience" when they fly with it.

I think what boggles my mind, is that a person on that crew thought this wouldn't become an issue?

Thank goodness the authorities stopped this man:

Arizona man planned mass killing of black people in hopes of starting a race war

Prieto made the plans with them during meetups at gun shows across Arizona, fixating on the racist messages he wanted to send and the desire to “fight back” against Black, Jewish and Muslim people, according to the criminal complaint.

He “wanted it clear that the attack was racially motivated,” FBI Special Agent Ryan Harp wrote in the complaint. Prieto allegedly said he planned to leave Confederate flags at the shooting venue and to shout phrases including “Black lives don’t matter, White lives matter.”

Brian Michael Gaherty, 61, of Houston, was sentenced earlier this week for making racist threats to kill Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif. through numerous phone calls. In addition to receiving 33 months in federal prison, Gaherty was fined $10,000 according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.
U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner also noted that Gaherty targeted Waters because she is Black — therefore a hate-crime enhancement was added to his sentence. Gaherty’s lawyer, Joseph Vinas, said that his client was “very apologetic for what occurred.”

Vinas also said that it was his “sincerest belief that, but for the mental health condition he currently suffers as a result of being a victim of violent crime himself, this never would have occurred.”

Waters was present for the sentencing Monday and Vinas told her that Gaherty wanted to offer “a heartfelt plea for her forgiveness and apologized to her and all those who were affected by his comments.” Gaherty pleaded guilty to a count of threatening a United States official in January.

He confessed to threatening murder and assault to Waters four times in August and November 2022. Federal officials stated that “Gaherty made these threats with the intent to impede, intimidate, and interfere with Waters while she was engaged in the performance of her official duties.”.

Reggie Jackson was asked about his experience with racism in baseball, and the response was heartfelt and unvarnished.

Reggie Jackson is telling American history as it has rolled out, how he was seen as plenty good enough to help win ball games, but no way good enough to get served at the diner... and how if it were not for some white friends and the team helping him cope with that kind of treatment over his skin color, his rage and desire to strike back could have "landed him in an oak tree" in the days of Sheriff Bull Connor in Alabama..

This is history related in the lifetime of today's Fox viewers, not back in some dim recess of well you know, those terrible times way back even before the emancipation of slaves.

Sadly, one could tell that some of those guys at the table on Fox in that interview were like... how do we wrap this up already?

The truth of great wrongs continues to hurt when the response to their telling is to pray for a commercial break real soon now.

Someone check on hell and see how it's doing, because...

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Tulsa officials announced the creation of a new commission to recommend how reparations can be made for a 1921 massacre that destroyed a thriving Black community in the city.

The panel will review a 2023 report for the city and a 2001 report by a state commission on Tulsa Race Massacre in which a white mob killed as many as 300 Black residents and burned the city’s Greenwood District to the ground. Both reports called for financial reparations, which Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum has opposed.

Reparations will almost certainly include a housing equity program, as the Beyond Apology Commission’s first task under Bynum’s order announced Thursday is to create one. The program would be for survivors of the massacre as well as descendants of victims and other residents of north Tulsa, where the massacre occurred. Only two known survivors are still alive.

Also don't tell the "snowflakes".

😒

In September 2008, members of a Wayward, Fla., chapter of the Ku Klux Klan concocted an elaborate scheme to kill Barack Obama days before he was elected president.

They planned every detail, identifying the day, time, and location of the hit; obsessing over the senator’s motorcade alignments; securing .50-caliber rifles for the deed; and arranging for the assassins’ vehicles to be destroyed afterward.

There was only one scenario they hadn’t considered: that the intricate plan would be undone by one of their own.

Joe Moore had been initiated into the so-called Invisible Empire the year prior, impressing fellow Klansmen with an embellished military record and expert gunmanship.

Naturally, the honorably discharged army vet had been tapped to pull the trigger that would take out Obama.

Little did his “brothers” know he’d infiltrated America’s oldest hate group as a counterterrorism informant.

“I had to follow [my orders] and do whatever it took to prevent the assassination of Barack Obama,” Moore writes in his new memoir, “White Robes and Broken Badges” (Harper, out now). “Because I was the only one who could.”

"You don't say? The police? Noooo."

It’s astounding that I never heard this story until now! Also, this section really caught my attention:

The verdict sent shock waves through the KKK’s many chapters, inciting fear amongst members that similar moles were in place nationwide.

As a result, Klan numbers plummeted, with many former members aligning with alt-right groups like the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys.

Not that we NEEDED confirmation of who those groups really are, but it’s good to have it.

Aurora, Colorado. Infamous for a mass shooting, police killing Elijah McCain, and now this:

Racist and anti-immigrant signs that also targeted Vice President Kamala Harris popped up Thursday in multiple bus stops along Colfax Avenue in Denver and Aurora, and transit agencies in at least one other state reported similar incidents.

One white sign reads “Blacks must sit at the back of the bus. Kamala’s migrants sit in the front.” Another yellow caution sign on the same pole warns riders of “Kamala’s illegals,” with imagery of people running that is supposed to signify immigrants crossing the border.

It’s not just the cops who are racist in Aurora.

BTW, it’s not just a local phenomenon. Fox and other right-wing outlets have been running hateful stories about immigrants in Aurora for days (maybe a week or two by now?). Anytime they see a spark, these right-wing media nuts douse it with a tanker full of gasoline and watch it burn. They don’t care what effect it has on their targeted community of the week.

They aren't racist, but damn if they don't like singling out a particular group or race. I mean after all, the country has done it before, but there's one group that's been steadfastly denied over & over.

Not only do they not want any reparations paid to one group, they will go that extra 20 miles to insure no such payments ever happen. I wonder why?

Why am I quoting this post? Because Trump is going to pay reparations!

…to white people.
