The Coffee Thread

Greatly enjoyed a mug (Le Creuset) of coffee from El Salvador, actually a blend (of my own devising) of three different types of coffee from El Salvador, coffees from three different farms & producers (SL 28 Honey Roast, a Wild Forest Project; Bourbon, natural process; and Orange Bourbon, natural process), served with organic hot milk.

Today, I noticed that my coffee supplies - while nowhere near running out - are beginning to run a little low.

Thus, it is high time to start browsing a few coffee sites, and indulge in a little temptation.

I don't usually have much to add on the coffee thread. But there is a coffee roaster nearby and I decided to get some fresh-roasted coffee from them. I plan to grind it up and brew it tomorrow morning!

Do enjoy.

What was (is) the coffee and where is it from?

What process (washed, natural, or honey, if that is mentioned) was used?

At the moment, I have three types of coffee from El Salvador (that, and Ethiopian coffee are my two perennial favourites) - most mornings (and some afternoons), I prepare a blend of all three.

However, today, I realised that the amount of coffee in all three containers is rapidly diminishing.

Thus, I shall enjoy browsing some coffee sites; at the moment, two other coffees from El Salvador and one from Costa Rica are of interest.

It's a blend of coffees from Guatemala and Costa Rica, and has been washed.

Well, this afternoon, peering out at a dismal, dreary, overcast and quite threatening January sky, I succumbed and placed an order for some coffee, (that is, two different coffees from El Salvador, and one from Costa Rica, respectively), along with some filter papers for coffee.

Currently enjoying a coffee from Costa Rica, a blend of my own devising of two coffees from Costa Rica, one a Villa Sarchi (a natural mutation of the Bourbon coffee bean/cherry) yellow honey process, and the second is a Red Catuai that is a red honey process coffee.

Served with organic hot milk, and quite divinely delicious.

Enjoying yet another mug of excellent, honey process, coffee from Costa Rica.

I'm sad to say I am drinking a cup of Gevalia Columbian coffee and it is,IMHO, just bad. 🙁

It's one of the weakest cups I've ever had.
Colombian is normally exquisite to my taste buds, unless it’s being screwed with in your case? Is this something you purchased at a coffee parlor?
