Any clothing maker that uses these little plastic thingies to hold a pair of socks together (making it very difficult to pull them apart so you can cut said thingy) or to attach a tag onto a coat or pair of pants (where the other end always seems to end up inside the lining or the waist band) should be sentenced to three days in jail for each instance.

And the person who invented them should be shot at sunrise.

Amen to that, brother.

A heartfelt and profound and passionate amen to that.

To try to remove that plastic thingie with a scissors is something that requires clear and determined focus, dexterity, and actual vision, as this is exactly the sort of frustrating thing that presents a challenge to those of us who wear spectacles.

Not to mention the insane amount of microplastics added to the environment. This is a big loser for everybody...

Minor gripe:

Stop sending me contact poster suggestions where, instead of you, you have a picture of your dog.

If I wanted to text your dog, I would’ve texted your dog.

Although I own a single google stock, the company's descent is quite the chronicle of why you never trust a company:
"Don't be evil" => "Evil's OK, but we won't develop weapons" => "Fuck it, we'll develop weaponized AI"

It's a little too late, but with the gross enshittification of the internet I see a major push towards a decentralized internet, and thanks to capitalist greed, the growth pains of federated software has become much more bearable compared to the corporate alternatives. Thus far, this is the only good outcome I see from the 2024 election.

Which takes me to... If the motivations of the Musk/Thiel axis were aligned with the public interest, they would have gotten what they needed without a coup.

Who gives a 💩 about the Gulf of whatever? It’s just another distraction while Musk guts the federal government.

Honestly, renaming Denali to Mt McKinley is much more problematic. It’s all about trouncing on the indigenous people of North America.

And then you have the renaming of military bases back to honor civil war traitors…

Although I like to think that Fort Bragg is now named for Alvin Bragg, the guy who helped convict Trump of 34 felonies.

Denial would be a more trumpian rename for Denali.

Well... It's interesting in all angles.
1) this is the first time I checked macrumors in the last 4 years.
2) Comments disabled
3) I was considering getting a new macbook after I broke the screen of the present one, but I managed to replace it. It "only" took 84 steps.

This is a great admin to motivate me to lessen my consumption.

^^ *Everybody* who's anybody in corporate world seems eager to avoid ruffling any feathers in the West Wing these days... and that might include owners of popular tech-centric websites too.

Who made f'g Elon and Felon kings of the USA? The cowardice is appalling.
Even if people had voted for DoGE via Trump like accounts I instantly block claim, that would at best have been a mandate for a proper department established by Congress, not this.
