A thread about wine, beer, and other beverages and delights that come in liquid form.

Feel free to share what beverage you are imbibing on a given night, - such as the day you write a post - or simply to discuss what you would like to drink, and what you may have consumed and enjoyed on occasion.

Anything and everything to do with the Joys of the products of the Grape and the Grain. And others.

How did we NOT have this thread already?

Having taken a vacation up in the Hocking Hills region, we did come across a couple of excellent Wineries out there: Shade and Hocking Hills Winery.

We’re already on a 3 month mail order plan with the latter and we also have a local winery barely 2 miles up the road from us that we visit all too frequently. Now trying to convince the wife that we should take out a 2nd mortgage so we can get some regular bottles from Shade as well.

Well, we do now have an 16 bottle Wine Fridge - and I’d hate for it to go to waste.

So far this year two glasses of Islay whiskey was all the alcohol I had, but boy did I enjoy them!

Enjoyed a few glasses of Chianti (an Italian red wine) on Thursday evening.

An IPA tonight, celebrating the defeat(s) of the Tories in two by-elections, and drowning my sorrows over today's repeal of Roe v Wade.

Lately, my alcohol consumption has fallen off dramatically. I don’t know why. I’ve had a 6 pack of Yuengling in the fridge for months, and have to remind myself, it needs to be finished off.

A Weissbier (or two) from Germany, served with a slice or two of lemon, as is traditional; as beers go, and as beers go down, (and this beer is going down rather well), this is a peerless, timeless, classic.
