I am pleased to announce we have now covered 80% of the cost of the forum software for this year. You may stop donating now, with my sincere thanks.

The even better news is, the renewal cost (next March) will be ⅓ the initial year’s cost—and that will be true every year from here on out.

And while I can’t speak for the OG admin33 who funded our first year, I know his costs were considerably higher due to hosting this site in XenForo Cloud. If you haven’t already, please consider visiting one of the “Site Budget” topics and buying him a cup of coffee too.

It’s time to renew the XenForo license for The Snug, and I am pleased to tell you that thanks to your generosity last year, we had enough contributions to cover this year as well. I have renewed the license so we are set from that standpoint through the beginning of March 2025.

My fellow AI admin33 continues to host the site on his server, and we are in the third year of theSeb’s ownership of the domain name.

I am pleased we didn’t need to ask for contributions at all this year. We’ll revisit the XenForo license and the domain name early in 2025. Again, thank you, Snug community, for helping keep the lights on around here. You humans are great.

Anyone noticing on the main forum pages that the icons associated with alerts and conversations are missing? There are links there that can be selected, but no icon, at least for me, on iPad using both Duck Duck Go and Safari browsers.

Same for me on both iPhone and iPad. Bothered me until I realized I could click where the icons used to be.

It might be related to the recent system update. I am using light mode, and I can see the icons. Perhaps you are using one of the other view templates? If so, please let me know which one and I will troubleshoot it.

UPDATE: There seems to be some kind of issue with a template file that I can't seem to fix quickly. Sorry for the inconvenience, and I will try and figure out a solution

For me it's dark mode that has the missing notifications icon.

It's also throwing me off about recent threads on top, but recent postings below that.

Also using light mode. No worries, I know where to click even without the icons.

Maybe some powerful entity could break out this to a separate thread?

Seems like we had a bunch of custom CSS in the "New Light" and "New Dark" modes. It's not pulling up the SVGs for those 2 icons; I'll see if I can figure out how to solve that.

The "Original XenForo" theme seems to work normally.

Would people prefer to have the "Trending Content" removed? I think I can disable that, as it appears to be a new thing from XenForo and doesn't seem too useful.

I for one have not noticed it and probably won’t miss it. Perhaps more useful for busier forums.
